Light of Christ Children's Center

An academic, play-based school for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. We teach children that Christ’s Light is in the heart. our preschool opened in 1971 as an extension of the ministry of our church’s mission. 

Our program encourages optimum development of each child’s social, emotional and physical growth. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. Mathew 18:5

Our Infant Program

Ages 6 weeks to 24 months

Light of Christ Children’s Center provides an extension of home where infants, toddlers and children can learn through exploration and play in a nurturing and safe environment. Close cooperation and positive communication with parents helps foster each child’s unique growth and development.

Each infant’s individual schedule is followed, allowing them to nap as needed. Older infants and toddlers are given plenty of room to walk, climb and explore. They are also offered snacks in addition to parent-provided lunches. Everyone receives group and individual attention. License # 37670073

Our Preschool Program

Ages 2 to 6 years old

The Center’s dedicated preschool provides an environment that nurtures the growth and whole-child development of each child in our care.

Daily activities and structure are designed so that each child thrives as they learn to communicate, create, concentrate, feel, move, play and think independently. Each child is encouraged to help develop a positive self-image through warm and positive personal relationships with both adults and other children. The Center’s curriculum includes themed art, music and movement; math and science; large and small muscle development; introduction to phonics, Bible verses and Bible stories; prayer, and circle time.
